From August 30 to September 1, the Expert Committee on Lead and Zinc held a conference in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, with representatives from leading companies and organizations in attendance.
The conference featured a series of events aimed at promoting technological and environmental innovations. The event kicked off with a plenary session where industry experts presented relevant reports on various aspects of the industry. In addition, conference participants had the opportunity to visit a tour of the lead-zinc plant organized by the KCM AD team.
One of the key topics of the conference was the evolution of the market. Experts discussed current trends and challenges faced by lead and zinc producers and consumers. Decarbonization and strategies to reduce the carbon footprint of production, as well as the path towards more environmentally friendly manufacturing, were significant topics of discussion.
Denis Polishkevych, Deputy CEO of DHM GROUP, presented a report on the successful implementation of new modern hydraulic tapping machine for TSL lead smelting furnace at Nordenham Metall GmbH. This project serves as an example of continuous and productive cooperation that began with the first equipment delivery in 2017.
The Consolidated Technical Committee of Lead and Zinc 2023 proved to be an important forum for sharing experience and knowledge in this industry. DHM GROUP’s participation in this event underscores not only our commitment to continuous improvement and environmental responsibility in our activities but also confirms our significant contribution to the innovative development of the market.
