Bratsk Ferroalloy Plant OJSC (Bratsk, Russia), owned by the major mining and smelting holding Mechel, commissioned an RKO-33 electrical furnace for ferrosilicon smelting.

For taphole servicing, the furnace was equipped with an integrated suspended hydraulic machine, designed and manufactured by our company. The machine includes new support tools designed by DHM GROUP for mechanical equipment components and state-of-the-art remote control systems.

At the end of February 2012, the integrated machine was successfully installed and commissioned at the «Bratsk Ferroalloy Plant». It achieved all of its performance targets, significantly improved working conditions, increased personnel safety and considerably extended the durability of furnace taphole components. In the near future, we intend to supply and install three more similar units.
