In 2019, AM/NS India has signed a contract with DHM GROUP to replace the hydraulic taphole drilling machine under the cast house equipment modernization project. The two taphole drilling machines, which had been installed earlier by another manufacturer, brought significant difficulties to the plant such as overspending of materials and spare parts, frequent repairs and operational downtime.

DHM GROUP designed and manufactured the new machines taking into account all the requirements of the Client. The supply was completed on time, despite the difficult conditions of the Covid-19 quarantine.

After the successful launch, on December 29, 2020, the Acceptance certificates were signed.

Our new modern fully hydraulic taphole drilling machine will enable AM/NS India to significantly improve tapping performance. The key advantages provided with the equipment manufactured by DHM GROUP include saving of drilling tools, as well as taphole opening with only one set of a rod and a bit. It should be noted that the tapping is done in a fully automatic mode, which makes the process of work fast and safe for the plant workers.
