Zaporizhstal, the national metal giant, and DHM GROUP, the Ukrainian manufacturer of equipment for the cast houses, have been engaged in many years of cooperation. Our cooperation started with a project for the comprehensive reconstruction of BF No. 3 in 1999, continued with the overall work of BF No. 2 projects in 2004, BF No. 4 in 2012, and the equipment enhancement at BF No. 3 in 2018.

And now DHM GROUP has signed a contract with ZAPORIZHSTAL for the supply of modern machines for BF No. 5.In the shortest possible time, our Company will produce a set of hydraulic equipment for the cast house, consisting of two drilling machines, two mud gun machines, a manipulator, tilting runners, as well as the hydraulic power pack with control system.

A special feature of this project is the very short-term repair of the furnace. To save time for the construction and installation works, the Customer chose the container design of the hydraulic power pack. This option is noteworthy as the equipment is delivered to the installation site already connected, completely wired and tested, thus significantly reducing the construction and installation work time. A similar project solution has already been applied by DHM GROUP at the COMILOG plant in Gabon. The container-design hydraulic power pack at BF No. 5 will be the first to be implemented in Ukraine.

The successful execution of BF No. 5 order will provide further proof of the reliability of DHM GROUP as a manufacturer and supplier of modern cast house machines. The success of many years of productive partnership is also illustrated by the fact that now all Zaporizhstal blast furnaces will be furnished with the equipment of our Company.
